Who needs a vignette for Hungary?

A vignette is required for all vehicles up to 3.5 t gross weight that use toll motorways and expressways in Hungary. This applies in particular to passenger cars, motorhomes, vans and small commercial vehicles. Heavier vehicles usually have separate toll systems (e.g. GO-Box / OBU).

How much does the vignette cost and what penalties apply?
